We are happy to introduce two new members of the AIFF community: Sky and Roberta. Sky is our new interim Executive Director, and Roberta joins us as Artistic Director. Please join us in a warm welcome to both.
Sky Loos
A San Francisco native, Sky and her family moved to Ashland in 2008 for the excellent schools, vibrant arts scene, and beautiful surroundings. A dedicated nonprofit professional with a passion for mission-driven work, Sky began her career in nonprofits as the School Director at A Place for Kids—an early childhood education center which served abused children. After moving to Ashland, she was hired by the Southern Oregon Humane Society to serve as the Education & Community Outreach Director. Later, she moved on to Britt Festivals—first serving in a development capacity before being promoted to Director of Operations. In her time at Britt, Sky conceptualized and spearheaded the Britt Orchestra at Crater Lake project, bringing dozens of musicians to the rim of the national park for two days of free performances. Sky joined AIFF in September 2021 first as the Director of Development, and was recently asked to serve as Interim Executive Director. Sky is thrilled to be working with AIFF, an organization which adds to the cultural vitality of the Rogue Valley. She is excited to work with the staff, volunteers, and supporters to bring the 2022 April festival back to patrons in- person, better than ever.
