U.S. BANK HONORS ASHLAND INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL WITH GRANT AWARD
ASHLAND, Ore. – U.S. Bank region Vice President Gloria Schell recently presented a $1,000 grant award to the Ashland Independent Film Festival. This is the second consecutive year AIFF has received support from U.S. Bank for access to the arts, specifically to help meet the need for arts engagement in Southern Oregon by continuing successful programs targeting student filmmakers, local filmmakers, and filmgoers during the 16th Annual AIFF in 2017. AIFF board vice-president, Foy Renfro, accepted the gift, thanking U.S. Bank for their support, “We are very grateful to U.S. Bank Foundation for their support, which will help us continue to offer free access to film festival programs such as our local and student filmmaking competitions. These programs ensure that children, youth, and adults in our region have the opportunity to engage with independent film.” In addition to free filmmaking competitions, during the annual festival, AIFF offers discounted film tickets to Oregon Trail Card members and free admission to student and locally-made films.
